Lifting the old boiler from 6029 October 2008
6029's old boiler has been lifted from the loco frame, thanks to a heavy crane and expert preparation, and testing of the new boiler has begun - Mike Reynell picture [Click on picture for larger image].

Restoration workers on the 6029 project April 2008
April 20 was Project 6029's most succesful workday. The photo shows 14 of the 16 workers posing after a BBQ lunch during the workday. Acheivements on the day included further dismantling of the smokebox interior of the old boiler and removal of mounting plates used during the previous life of the replacement boiler.
