Railway Publications

The ARHS (ACT) stocks a range of books of interest to rail fans - the titles cover both current and historical aspects of Australia's rail system, particularly for New South Wales.

Books can be viewed at the Society’s monthly meeting (7.30pm, last Thursday of each month except December).

Publications of the ARHS (ACT)

The Society has published a comprehensive statistical book titled Route-Kilometre Statistics Tracing the Evolution of Australian Public Railways to 30 June 1997.

This is available as a printed publication (November 2001 version - contact David Hutchison, details above) and as a website version (revised June 2005 - see Route Kilometre Statistics).

The Society also publishes leaflets on all its long-distance train trips. These can be mailed to you at a cost of $12 annually. See ARHS Mailing List.
