From within the Canberra region, we aim to provide a quality experience of Australia's railway heritage through our operating museum, train trips, and associated education and tourism activities.
Our key operating sites/activities are:
-
Canberra Railway Museum - a multi-purpose site which serves as a meeting place for members, site for public viewing of our locomotives and rolling stock, train restoration centre and preparation centre for our local and long-distance trains;
-
Our trains - we operate local and long-distance heritage trains providing passengers with an authentic rail experience;
- Queanbeyan Railway Station - the Society operates the station, including ticketing facilities for both CountryLink and ARHS (ACT) trains;
-
Yass Junction - the former signal box and 'up' platform building are leased to provide amenities for members to view current mainline train operations.
