Diesel-hydraulic Locomotive 7319

Diesel-hydraulic locomotive 7319 is one of two 73 class diesel-hydraulic locomotives used by the ACT Division of the Australian Railway Historical Society.

7319 is a Bo-Bo (two twin-axle bogies) 650hp locomotive manufactured by Walkers Ltd in 1970. It was purchased by the ARHS in 1990 and has since been returned to regular heritage rail service.

Today, 7319 and/or sister locomotive 7315 is frequently the lead locomotive for trains on the Canberra-Bungendore run, particularly in summer time during the fire season when it is not practical to operate steam locomotives.
